King William native Carissa Ellis is ready to put her best foot forward to represent her county at the Miss Teen Richmond pageant. Carissa said she was interviewed for the Richmond regional competition and was later notified that she was a finalist. Carissa said she had a training session a few weeks ago where she and other finalists practiced walking in high heels and answering potential pageant questions, such as using one word to describe herself.
Brittney Martin of Ashburn was recently selected to participate in the Miss Teen pageant competition that will take place on Sunday, April 8, Brittney learned of her acceptance into this year's competition when the pageant announced their selections following interviewing in the local area. Brittney submitted an application and took part in an interview session that was conducted by this year's Pageant Coordinator.
